A Savage Wisdom

Today, August 25, 2009, my suspense/thriller A Savage Wisdom reached #6 in its Amazon.com Kindle category (Murder & Mayhem). For comparison, Truman Capote's In Cold Blood is at 4 and Columbine is at 1.

The novel is based on the life of Toni Jo Henry, the only woman executed in Louisiana's electric chair.

I am a professor of English at Southeastern Louisiana University with 30 years of successful writing experience. My award-winning short stories have been published in respected literary and commercial venues, including Shenandoah, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Salt Water Sportsman, and Sport Fishing Magazine.

  2. My novel is an "imaginative reconstruction" of Toni Jo Henry's life.
